Throughout my life, my guiding principle has been service. I am eager to bring my experience in executive leadership, legislative policy, and municipal operations to the city we love.
For over 23 years, I served on active duty in the United States Air Force, retiring as a Chief Master Sergeant (E-9) and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician. My service included combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as an assignment as an Inspector General (IG) inspector overseeing critical EOD units in Europe. Leading teams in high-stakes, zero-fail environments and ensuring the highest standards of operational readiness instilled in me a deep commitment to strategic planning, accountability, and making critical decisions under pressure.
My operational background in the military is reinforced by extensive education and strategic legislative experience. I hold a Master’s in Public Administration from Troy University, a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, and a Graduate Certificate in Legislative Studies from the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University. During my military career, I was selected for the prestigious Air Force Legislative Fellowship, serving as a Defense Fellow for U.S. Senator John Boozman and as a Deputy Legislative Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. These roles provided me with an invaluable, firsthand understanding of complex policy development and government relations at the highest levels.
Following my retirement, I transitioned that dedication directly into local government. I currently serve as a Utilities Operations Manager, where I oversee critical infrastructure, including underground utilities, wastewater treatment plants, an environmental laboratory, and lift stations. My hands-on experience managing complex municipal systems is supported by a strong foundation in civic leadership, including completing a local government fellowship and presenting at the state level on infrastructure recovery and resilience.
As your City Council member, my priorities will be rooted in practical, proven governance. I am heavily focused on:
While I am running for the Ward 1 seat—representing the easternmost part of our city—our council members are elected at large. I am fully committed to advocating for and serving every resident across the entirety of Panama City Beach.
Beyond my professional roles, I am deeply committed to serving our local community. I proudly serve as the Junior Vice Post Commander of VFW Post 10555 "Triple Nickel" and am an active member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Bernadette.
Guided by a strong faith, my wife, Laura, a dedicated school teacher at West Bay Elementary School, and I chose Panama City Beach as the perfect place to build our post-military life and raise our three daughters, Sophia, Bella, and Olivia. I care deeply about the future of our community, and I look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks about how we can work together to keep Panama City Beach a safe, thriving, and resilient place to call home.
Ensuring Panama City Beach remains a secure, safe community year-round, while actively building a resilient city that is fully prepared to handle any future natural disasters or emergencies.
Streamlining city services, eliminating waste, and fortifying our utility infrastructure. By utilizing strong project management principles and establishing data-driven key performance indicators (KPIs), we can ensure residents see exactly how their tax dollars are working for them.
Fostering collaboration by bringing together the best ideas from our residents, local businesses, and the tourism sector. However, we must ensure that our city's growth and economic engines are always balanced and never come at the expense of the residents who live here.
